The Grand Celebration Hall at Cairo University witnessed, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, President of Cairo University, the graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Science Class of 2025/2026. The ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Ahmed Ragab, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs; Professor Dr. Soheir Ramadan, Dean of the Faculty of Science; the Faculty’s Vice Deans; a large number of faculty members and teaching assistants; as well as the graduates and their families.
The ceremony began with a group photograph of the graduates in front of the historic Dome building of Cairo University. The celebration then moved to the Grand Celebration Hall, where the national anthem was played, followed by a recitation from the Holy Quran. This was followed by a speech delivered by Professor Dr. Ahmed Ragab, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, a documentary film about the Faculty, a speech by the graduates’ representative, and a speech by the Dean of the Faculty. The graduates then recited the graduation oath, followed by the honoring of the top-performing graduates and a presentation of the Faculty’s most notable achievements during the 2025/2026 academic year. The ceremony concluded with the honoring of the graduates.
At the beginning of his speech, Professor Dr. Ahmed Ragab emphasized that the Faculty of Science represents one of the major scientific institutions at Cairo University, owing to its distinguished academic and scientific history and its important role in preparing specialized graduates and supporting scientific research and innovation. He noted that Faculty of Science graduates possess a strong scientific foundation that qualifies them to pursue their careers across various scientific, research, and professional fields.
The Vice President encouraged the graduates to continue developing their knowledge and skills and to keep pace with the rapid developments in science and technology. He also urged them to embrace research, innovation, and lifelong learning, emphasizing that obtaining a university degree marks the beginning of a new stage that requires continuous learning and the ability to adapt to ongoing scientific and professional developments.
Professor Dr. Ahmed Ragab noted that Cairo University places great emphasis on developing the educational process and aligning it with labor market needs, while expanding opportunities for students to acquire skills and experience that enhance their ability to compete both locally and internationally. He called on the graduates to take pride in their affiliation with Egypt, Cairo University, and the Faculty of Science, and to serve as worthy ambassadors of their university in their respective workplaces and research fields.
The Vice President also expressed his appreciation to the Faculty’s faculty members for the knowledge, effort, and guidance they provided to students throughout their years of study. He also extended his appreciation to the graduates’ families and parents for the support and encouragement they provided until their children reached this important milestone.
For her part, Professor Dr. Soheir Ramadan, Dean of the Faculty of Science, expressed her happiness at celebrating the graduation of a new cohort of the Faculty’s students. She emphasized that graduation day represents the culmination of years of study, dedication, and academic achievement, while also reflecting the efforts of the Faculty’s faculty members, teaching assistants, and staff in preparing graduates with a strong scientific foundation and the skills needed to pursue their academic and professional careers.
The Dean of the Faculty of Science called on the graduates to continue learning, research, and innovation, to uphold the values of knowledge, integrity, and responsibility, and to use the knowledge and skills they have acquired to serve their community and country. She also emphasized the importance of maintaining a lasting connection between graduates, their Faculty, and their University, and of benefiting from the scientific and professional network provided by the University to its graduates.
Graduate Norhan Abdel Nasser Abdel Khalek, speaking on behalf of the graduates, stated that graduation day represents a defining moment marking the culmination of years of study, hard work, and dedication, as well as the beginning of a new stage in which graduates seek to apply the knowledge, expertise, and skills they have acquired to their professional lives.
The graduates’ representative expressed her appreciation to the administration of Cairo University and the Faculty of Science, as well as to the faculty members, teaching assistants, and staff, for the support, care, and guidance they provided throughout the students’ years of study. She emphasized that the graduates would carry with them the knowledge, values, and principles they gained at Cairo University and would strive to use their knowledge and skills in serving the community while upholding the name and reputation of their University.
The ceremony also featured a presentation highlighting the Faculty of Science’s most significant achievements during the 2025/2026 academic year in the areas of education, research, student activities, and community service. These achievements reflect the Faculty’s continued efforts to develop its academic programs and activities and strengthen its role within Cairo University’s education and scientific research system.
