Adopt a new way of thinking. Students should look beyond the name or traditional prestige of a college and instead focus on the knowledge, skills, and competencies they will gain and how these will prepare them for future careers.
Explore micro-learning opportunities. She encouraged students to participate in short courses, workshops, and online learning programs in emerging fields such as nanotechnology, cybersecurity, and biotechnology to better understand these disciplines before selecting a university major.
Make independent career decisions. She advised students not to be constrained by societal or family expectations that prioritize traditional disciplines such as medicine or engineering solely because of their reputation. Instead, students should choose academic paths that align with their interests, talents, and aspirations.
Rely on data and evidence. She recommended consulting reports published by the Ministry of Labor, the State Information Service, and the World Economic Forum to understand employment trends, unemployment rates, and salary prospects in emerging professions, enabling students and their families to make informed decisions based on reliable statistics.
Understand the nature of future careers. She explained that today's job market no longer seeks graduates with only traditional disciplinary knowledge.
