💬 Statement by the Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development
“Dear members and colleagues of the Faculty of Science,
Sustainable development and environmental protection are no longer an option; they have become a working methodology and an institutional culture that we embrace within the Faculty of Science. The Faculty’s achievement in receiving the Best Eco-Friendly Faculty Award is the result of continuous, systematic, and institutional efforts that successfully fulfilled all evaluation criteria with a high degree of precision—from energy management and reducing the carbon footprint, to waste recycling programs and reducing the use of plastic, as well as the excellence of our environmentally oriented research and academic courses addressing environmental issues and climate change.
This major environmental achievement comes as we celebrate the Faculty’s Centennial, reflecting the community and environmental roles of the sector, as well as the continuous efforts and coordination with the Green Office, the Sustainable Development Team, and all Faculty units. We dedicate this success to the entire Faculty community and reaffirm our commitment to continuing to provide scientific environmental consultations and solutions that serve the community while maintaining a healthy, clean, and sustainable campus.”
The Faculty of Science reaffirms its commitment to continuing to lead the journey of green innovation and sustainable development throughout its next centenary.
